Welcome my Butterflies
Hi, I'm Crencenthia Brown, and I'm not your typical 'expert.' I'm a woman in her 40s who knows firsthand what depression, anxiety, and PTSD feel like - and I'm actively finding my way through it using simple tools that actually work. At Butterflii Haven Cafe, I share what I'm learning in real-time: how coloring can quiet an anxious mind, how journaling can make sense of overwhelming feelings, and how connecting with women who truly understand can be the most healing thing of all. I'm not here to fix you or give you clinical advice. I'm here to walk alongside you, share what's working for me, and create a space where you can discover what works for you - surrounded by women who get it. This is healing in community, not isolation. This is peer support, not therapy. This is real life, real struggles, and real hope."*

The Coloring Affirmation — A Tiny Morning Ritual for Heavy Days
The Coloring Affirmation — A Tiny Morning Ritual for Heavy Days Visual Idea: soft painterly photo of a steaming mug, open coloring page, and bright crayons scattered — warm pink, orange, purple glow. Pick your favorite crayon. Every line you color, whisper a truth: I’m safe. I’m healing. I’m allowed to take my time. It doesn’t need to look pretty. You’re not making art — you’re making space for your mind to breathe. So, while your coffee’s half gone and your heart feels a little lighter, remember: that’s the work working. Not perfection. Not pretending. Just presence.

Depression doesn’t always scream
Depression doesn’t always scream…sometimes it whispers like a false alarm. Show a flashing red light or alarm. Say: “When your mind feels on constant alert, try a grounding trick: name 5 things you see, 4 things you feel, 3 things you hear, 2 things you smell, 1 thing you taste. It resets the alarm. What’s your go-to when your mind feels like it’s on high alert?” Sis, not every alarm in your head is an emergency. Sometimes it’s just old wiring. 🚨 - Affirmation: “I can quiet the false alarms in my mind.”
