Versace Eros Energy - Should You?

Hey guys! I was lucky enough to scoop up a BIT of Eros Energy, my curiosity had me wanting to get my nose on it. And I'm going to be honest with all of you on this review. Sorry not sorry? Let's dig in.

I tried out a sample of a bottle today (batch code MD2405, so it's only one or two months old), and to my nose, it's a citrus-heavy version of Aventus Cologne. During the first hour, you'll notice a strong burst of citrus notes with moderate projection (I only used 3 sprays). Think Lemonheads candy.

After that initial hour, it begins to settle into a blend of amber, musk, moss, and patchouli, with a hint of citrus lingering in the background. At this stage, the citrus notes merge with the top and mid notes, making it hard to pinpoint exactly which note remains, but the citrus doesn't completely disappear. Got about 8 hours of wear, though the last 3-4 hours sit close to the skin without becoming so faint that you need to press your nose to the skin to catch a whiff.

I would shelf this frag as dead last in the Eros line. Why? For me, it's the staying power. Compared to the others, this one doesn't quite make the cut. If it had the signature Eros line vanilla note (which would have placed it third after the Parfum and Flame versions), it might have helped with its presence. But again, that's just my personal preference. All I can say is that the citrus lovers will adore this, cause for that one hour, oh boy are those notes there. But the drydown is identical to Montblanc Explorer, with less definition.

Bit weird to release this near the end of August or early September, making us wait long for this but whether you're going to make a name for yourself here with this one? It will ultimately be up to you.

Overhyped guys, sorry. Wait for it to hit discounters. Don't waste your money 🤷‍♂️
