Today I tried my decant of Tom Ford Noir Extreme,. It’s accords were woody and sweet from the very first spray and stayed that way throughout the wear. At the opening, warm sweetness immediately dominated, with just a subtle hint of spice in the background. In the mid the scent softened slightly, but the woody sweet character stayed consistent. I think the combination of vanilla and amber kept it feeling smooth and rich without shifting dramatically. By the base, the woodiness and warmth really settled in softly and this is where you would decide if it's richness is just right or a little too much. For me it was the latter, a little too gourmand.
This fragranced lasted for several hours with projection that was moderate, and as a skin scent, several hours more. Noticeable without being overpowering, it will appeal to young and old alike, but leans more towards sophistication than casual, and will definitely do for date night. I'll be giving this one away.
