The power of scent to improve your mindset: Haltane by Parfums de Marley

Scent preference like taste in general is subjective, but I think most people here will agree that certain scents whatever they might be just make us feel better. For me one of those is definitely Haltane.

I reviewed it once before when I received my first sample of it and said that it was making a case to be my second full presentation PDM in my collection. So today was the inaugural test of that bottle.

It's a slightly older bottle as it has the old box style with the Velvet lined topper and base. As far as I know there hasn't been any reformulations, but I thought that was relevant.

Anyways, with that out of the way, the scent journey for this one: opens with a lovely hint of smokiness and gentle Oud that is jammy with flickers of Rose. But the real star is the way that Ood note blends with a wonderful soapy freshness. That just makes me smile and feel good. Almost as soon as I put it on I felt better, and each sniff was/is an exercise in the scent equivalent of a smile.

What that smile in a bottle is for you is of course unique to you, but this is definitely one for me
