So my son was with his friend over the house and he was showing me his fragrances before he left on his trip so I wore one and it was Rabanne Elixir.
Paco Rabanne 1 Million Elixir is okay, but it didn’t really impress me. It’s very sweet, thick, and loud, with a heavy vanilla, amber, and tonka bean feel. The problem is it comes off a little syrupy and synthetic, almost like it’s trying too hard to be powerful.
Performance is definitely not the issue. It lasts a long time on my skin with strong projection for the first few hours and easily gets me through a full day. The scent itself is where it falls short for me. It has plenty of strength, but not enough character or originality to keep me interested.
Not a bad fragrance by any means, just a little too sweet, generic, and one-dimensional for my taste. If you love sweet clubbing fragrances, it may be a winner. For me, it’s more “meh” than must-have.
For me, the biggest issue isn’t how it performs—it’s that it smells like a lot of other sweet fragrances while lacking the character that makes me want to reach for it again.
