SOTEvening: Mancera Kumkat Wood

The final of five Mancera decants

I am going to order a bottle of Aqua Wood soon.

Now onto Kumkat Wood…. It has a nice grapefruit and spice open on first spray. The grapefruit mixes well with the spices and bergamot. It’s not a sweet spice more of a subtle softness which rounds out the grapefruit and takes some of the edge away.

I don’t detect any floral or patchouli in the mid and can only pick up faint hints of amber. My guess would be due to the lingering grapefruit.

This frag progresses rather quickly from the top to the dry down where this becomes very woody. It’s a mixture of woods so I couldn’t tell you what I’m smelling other than woodiness.

Overall it’s a pleasant woody and citrus fragrance that isn’t anything ground breaking or innovative. For the right price this would be full bottle worthy.
