sote Happyland Cravat Noir
This is my last from Happyland Studio, for now anyway. They have a couple of others that I want to try, but other samples and houses are calling my name. Cravat Noir is inspired by YSL Tuxedo, which I haven't smelled in awhile, so I'll do my best to describe my experience, and you can decide if you want to sample for yourself.
This has a great smelling aromatic, patchouli-forward open with a fleeting hint of citrus. A clean, green note joins the blend at about 1 hr, taking the scent profile in a new, very interesting direction. Projection is strong for 90 min. By 2 hrs, the sillage is mild and the fragrance is much less aromatic, and less green. The patchouli has become a little more woody, but still dominates the scent. I see a resemblance to Rochas Moustache, but with more initial push and longevity. Sillage remains mild but steady to about the 5th hr, when it becomes a skin scent. This isn't my favorite scent, and it must be the patchouli, but I'm sure others will like it. As always, I recommend getting their samples before you buy a full bottle, but their prices are good and they have frequent sales & discounts.
