SOTD Vanilla Powder by Matière Première

I decided to test Vanilla Powder Extrait, from Matière Première, using the sample I received this weekend. Whenever I purchase a new fragrance release, I always ask for a sample that allows me to test the perfume before removing the bottle from the original packaging. This gives me the option to evaluate and return the fragrance if I am not happy with actually wearing it.

So far, I am happy with Vanilla Powder Extrait. The aroma is fairly similar to the EDP, so the differences are primarily in the depth and projection. The extrait smells a bit more complex; however, the EDP opens a bit brighter and pushes off the skin more. Early days yet, but if you already own the EDP, then the extrait is redundant.

Another observation is that this feels feminine-leaning, as does the EDP. I am a bit torn because this is a beautiful fragrance, it's sweet, creamy, gourmand.
