SOTD: Oud for Greatness

Lately, several people have made posts about revisiting fragrances that may not have caught your attention the first time around. I had that thought ringing in my head as I got ready for work this morning.

Normally I have to take weather and environment very much into account when I make my plans for the day. However, due to some technical difficulties, I knew I would pretty much be the only person in my area today, so all bets were off and I was free to wear anything I wanted.

A few years ago I bought a sample of Oud for Greatness, having heard many things about it being a standout. It did not appeal to me at all and that sample went into my Bag of No.

I do revisit that bag occasionally to see if my tastes have changed as I explore and learn more. Doing so a while back pulled this sample out of the bag and earned it another chance. Those have been restricted to wearings at home at night, due to the work environment and temperatures hovering around 100. But today seemed like the perfect day to give it a real world run. I was pleased with how it developed over the course of the day and an extremely positive experience while I was out at lunch helped convince me that this one deserves real consideration for adding it to my collection.
