SOTD: Michael Malul Composer

The newest addition to my collection and a new release from the house.

To start I’ve been wearing this one since 8am and it’s now 2pm performance on my skin is stellar. 6 hours in and it’s going strong still with projection of about 1.5 feet and decent sillage. Was walking in the hallway and a coworker said, “man, you smell good”

Now to the fragrance. This one opens up with heavy blast of pomegranate and red currant. It’s sweet and slightly sour. A nice combination. I expected the open to last for 15-20 mins but the pomegranate was prominent for close to 45 when it mixed with a subtle tobacco leaf. Couldn’t really differentiate the other listed notes.

The tobacco leaf then mixes well in the base notes of vanilla sandalwood and ambroxan. My guess is the ambroxan is really adding to the longevity in this frag. The base smells like a nice woody vanilla tobacco from a pipe.

Of the 3 full bottles of the Esquire line I own from Mm this is my favorite so far. this could also be worn in 3 seasons. Only time I wouldn’t wear this is in summer.
