SOTD: MANCERA CINQUE TERRE

Going with Mancera Cinque Terre today. This is one of those fresh Mancera fragrances that has a little more going on than just citrus and marine notes.

It opens bright with lemon, rosemary and a dry touch of cardamom, then I start getting that salty coastal feel mixed with fig leaf, cedar and pine. The fig here isn’t really sweet or fruity to me — it comes across greener and more natural. As it dries down, the oakmoss, sandalwood and labdanum give it a slightly earthy, woody backbone.

What I like is that it doesn’t smell like your typical blue aquatic freshie. It has that Mediterranean coastal vibe, but there is enough green, woody and aromatic character to keep it interesting. Fresh without being boring and very easy to wear.

Really solid release from Mancera and a great SOTD for the heat.
