A bold modern release from the ME giant that is Lattafa. This is an oldie in my collection, but it always gets included in my rotation. Gets a lot of comparison to Coral Fantasy, I must do a comparison some day It strikes a balance between fruity freshness and dark, smoky masculinity. Released in 2023, Lattafa tend to keep their perfumers in house, unless it's a big name from the west. Most of their current catalogue is developed by the brand’s specialized fragrance directors in Dubai. The scent is an Aromatic-Spicy or Oriental Woody fragrance. It evolves from a bright, juicy opening into a creamy, earthy dry-down.
The first spray is an explosion of sweet, crisp apple and zesty bergamot. The cardamom adds a warm, spicy undertone that prevents it from feeling like a generic bubblegum scent. After about 30 minutes, the tobacco & lavender emerge. This is the best phase of the fragrance imo, the tobacco is smooth & sweet, leaf-like, rather than smoky or harsh, while the lavender provides a clean, barbershop style backbone. The finale is dominated by Tonka bean & Leather. It feels creamy & slightly earthy due to the patchouli & vetiver, giving it a solid, masculine weight.
For the price you get great value, performance wise, 6hrs on skin, with a solid projection for the first 2. It creates a noticeable scent bubble around you without being cloying, provided you don't over spray. Whilst probably not great for high heat, it's versatile enough for Autumn/Winter/ Spring wear. Ideal for date nights, evening events, or office-wear, if applied lightly. It has a bit of a boss vibe that works well for professional settings. If you enjoy fragrances like Valentino Coral Fantasy or Viktor&Rolf Spicebomb Night Vision, Jasoor is a safe bet.
