SOTD: Bleu De Chanel -Parfum

I'm not going to be the first or definetly the last to do a BDC review, but I have to shout this out because it deserves it.

For a long time I kinda avoided this fragrance, partly due to the hype, and overuse of it by most people, I always decided that if I was going to purchase this scent, it would have to be the parfum version, as I at a point where I really want the bang for my buck.

I wanna say that I am a fan of blue fragrances, the freshness and 'out of the shower' scent is clean and versatile. anyone familiar with Versace Dylan Blue will get the same vibes from this fragrance but at a much sophisticated level.

The parfum as you already know is the most concentrated version and it offers a deeper richer and more intense experience.

The opening is fresh and invigorating, you get a hit of a citrus burst but its dominated by lemon zest and bergamot, its a bright, vibrant start, but in the parfum, they are softened and instead you feel a smooth transition into the heart notes.

The middle notes are warm and spicy, blending lavender and geranium. Lavender brings a calm and herbal touch, while the geranium adds a subtle green, floral nuance. There just a touch of pineapple in the background, whichs gives a tiny bit of sweetness it's makes it slighly tropical but without overwhelming the woody characteristics. This fruity note is balanced well, and I read there is also spices like nutmeg, which adds warmth and depth, nutmeg is an underrated scent by the way!

but I tell you it's in the base is where the true depth of the parfum shines. The Sandalwood is creamy, smooth, and richly woody, giving BDC its lasting power and a luxurious warmth. There are even notes of cedar and amber, making the fragrance smoky, woody and warm!

The tonka bean adds a subtle sweetness, enhancing the overall richness of the fragrance

For me I found I typically get 8-10 hours or more, on my skin, It stays close to the skin but has excellent staying power, basically it will last all-day wear or evening. I like to wear this in the office, but it shouldn't be limited to that environment. It iàs so versatile. The sillage creates a subtle yet impactful presence.I like the design of the bottle a sleek, deep blue rectangular glass bottle with clean lines and a minimalist aesthetic.

Also not enough fragrances do the satisfying magnetic cap closure which adding this tactile element, emphases the elegance of the product.

Overall I more than happy with this fragrance, BDC blends fresh, aromatic, and deep woody notes to create a sophisticated scent. It is a long-lasting and represents understated confidence and modern masculinity but it doesn't break the wallet! if you haven't got it then go for it, and if you have, then you already know.
