RAYHAAN TIGER CALCOLOGNE EDITION: COMPLETE IN-DEPTH REVIEW

Do you like Halfeti by Penhaligon's but don't want to shell out the money? Introducing: Rayhaan Tiger: CalCologne Edition. I've been a fan of Cal for a long time and he sings the praises of Halfeti any opportunity he gets. My brother ordered Rayhaan Lion and was sent Tiger by mistake, so I bought it off him for very cheap since they sent him Lion for free after. As a complete blind buy, I was only really buying it to add it to my collection, and just to have something that my favorite fragrance creator had a hand in making. Now let's get to the review:

This fragrance opens up with Cypress Leaf, Saffron, Cardamom, and fresh citrus/fruity notes, however, Cal added an additional note to the opening, which is Rooibos Tea, which adds a sweetness to it. The sweetness doesn't come off as a vanilla/ambery sweetness, but more of an earthy sweetness, which works really well with the rest of the fragrance since this fragrance is definitely an earthy, masculine fragrance.

In the heart of this you get a prominent Rose note, along with Nutmeg and Jasmine. For me, the nutmeg and Jasmine is hard to pick out, but that rose is a lot easier to smell. It creates an earthy, sweet rose smell, which is heavenly, and the embodiment of a rich, masculine man, who is very sophisticated.

Finally in the dry down you'll start picking up on the base notes of Oud, Cedarwood, Sandlewood, Leather, Amber, Tonka Bean, Vanilla, and Musk. For me, you'll mostly get the woods and the leather. Which grounds this fragrance in a beautiful mature base.

All together this fragrance smells expensive, it smells like a masculine man who's got it together. It smells like an earthy, sweet, woody rose if I had to describe the profile... But these words don't do it justice, definitely go try this or Halfeti, you won't regret it. I wouldn't say this is at all blind buy safe. Cal had Rayhaan make this an extrait de parfum, at a 30% perfume oil concentration, which makes this one last 10+ hours with projection the whole time. I love this scent, and plan to break it out for special, black tie occasions in the colder weather. My personal score of a 9/10.
