YSL. They were never afraid to be different and it's changed the industry. Releases like Kouros, L'Homme, La Nuit De L'Homme, the Y line, and recently starting the recent trend with MYSLF. They have had, in my opinion, the most impact compared to any other given house in modern history. This isn't even considering their women's fragrances, Black Opium and Libre to name a couple, have also been very influencial.
Took a break!
Hello! It's been a couple of months since I last was on here, but I figured I'd drop in and show y'all an updated photo of my collection. My most recent pickup was L'Homme Idéal Eau de Parfum by the house of Guerlain. My collection has grown quite a bit since I was last here.

SOTD: Liquid Brun by French Avenue
Absolutely fantastic. I was honestly not expecting the hype and the claim, "it is a 1:1 of Althaïr" to be true... But it's damn near 1:1! I couldn't tell the difference. It's the only clone I've tried thus far that really is spot on! The performance is on par with Althaïr too, maybe slightly less sillage but nothing a few extra sprays can't fix. In the air? Identical. Performance is more than passable. If you've tried and like Althaïr, this is Althaïr for 30 bucks. I wore it from a decant this morning but I just ordered a full bottle after only my second wearing. Absolutely beautiful work from French Avenue here, 10/10.

I got in a decant a few weeks ago of Althaïr to get my nose on this hype beast. The scent is not what I expected, but at the same time, exactly what I expected. Let me explain. The opening of this is almost a carbonated, bubbly smell, that quickly transitions into what this fragrance really is: a super sweet vanilla candy smell with a hint of orange. I don't get the "orange creamsicle" vibe a lot of people say they get with this, rather this to me smells like a vanilla cupcake with a touch of orange in the background, definitely more cinnamon than orange in this one. This is a beautiful vanilla-cinnamon scent of I had to describe it in just a few words. All in all this fragrance lasts a long time and LINGERS in the air. It's a compliment monster, and it only didn't get me a compliment one time wearing it. So if compliments are your thing, this will get the job done. I wasn't afraid to spray this 6-8 times (twice on each side of the neck, twice on the back of the neck, twice on the chest). I love this stuff and just got a decant of Liquid Brun to see if that one is deserving of the hype.
