New from the house of Michael Malul
“Michael Malul London - Ocean Noir Parfum
Some fragrances try to smell like the ocean... but very few actually capture that dark, mysterious coastal vibe the way a scent like Ocean Noir aims to. This isn't just a fresh aquatic. It's more like the ocean at night - deeper, spicier, and a little more seductive.
The opening starts bright and energetic with tangelo, bergamot, pomelo, coconut, and lavender. You immediately get that fresh citrus sparkle mixed with a smooth tropical creaminess from the coconut. It's refreshing but still interesting.
Then the fragrance shifts into the heart where things get more complex. Cinnamon, geranium, black pepper, sea kelp, and yarrow bring in this really cool mix of spice and marine depth.
The sea kelp especially gives the fragrance that salty ocean character that makes it feel like you're standing near the water with a breeze coming off the waves.
The drydown is where the fragrance becomes more sensual and masculine with patchouli, tonka bean, incense, and musk.
That combination adds warmth, depth, and a smoky smoothness that sticks to the skin beautifully.
