Ivory Route by Xerjoff
This is another one that came in this week that I'm happy to add to the reunited series πŸ˜‚. I grabbed a decant of this a few years back and loved it but at the time it reminded me of Mancera Silver Blue so it wasn't a necessity.
Owning a full bottle of Silver Blue now and comparing these side by side they are not similar but it's gotta be the spicy notes. Something in these spicy note blends I find addictive. They are not identical but they must trigger the same thing in my memory. I'm so determined to find what this reminds me off I've also added Barouj Perlador(Carlisle clone) to my arm against the silver blue and ivory route trying to see the similarities. None of these are alike in my opinion although it appears people find Carlisle and Ivory Route similar. I'm getting some sort of smokey essence from the ivory route that isn't listed in the accords.
Ivory Route to me is a smooth spice blend with some sort of underlying sweetness with smoke. This stuff is amazing. Definitely a cold weather fragrance that will be better appreciated in those conditions. Does anyone have any experience with this and have any idea what it's similar too? It's driving me nuts lol.
