Fragrance Review Fulton and Roark Calle Ocho
This fragrance was released in 2024 and was created by Hamid Merati-Kashani.
This is a newly hyped fragrance that caught my eye and I paid full retail from the brand’s website.
Top notes are rum, cinnamon and dark chocolate.
Middle notes are tobacco, labdanum and night blooming jasmine.
Base notes are tonka bean, sandalwood and musk.
First spray, you get a boozy rum and cinnamon cocktail mixed with dark chocolate. As the fragrance settles, you get a floral note from the jasmine, some tobacco and a nice amber note from the labdanum. As the fragrance dries down you are left with a boozy, sweet, cinnamon, warm and cozy scent with a base of sweet tonka bean, creamy sandalwood and musk.
People try to compare to Angels Share but Calle Ocho is not that. This fragrance projects strongly for about two hours and lasts over 8 hours on my skin. This stuff is good. It reminds me of a Cuban restaurant in Tampa that serves strong rum drinks and makes amazing pastries.
Overall, I’d rate this 8.7 out of 10. I paid $205 for 50ml. If you like boozy gourmand like fragrances, this is a recommend.
