In perfumery, every great scent begins with understanding the materials. Bergamot, vetiver, amber, rose, each ingredient has its own personality and purpose. The more a perfumer studies those building blocks, the more intentional and refined the final creation becomes.

The same idea applies beyond the bottle. Whatever craft you pursue: fragrance, business, engineering, life itself, the deeper you understand the fundamentals, the stronger your results will be. Mastery doesn’t come from shortcuts; it comes from knowing the "ingredients" of your craft and learning how to blend them well.
