Byredo - Bal d’Afrique Absolu
Today I reached for Bal d’Afrique Absolu, a richer and more addictive twist on the classic.
The opening hits with a soft burst of bergamot, lemon, and blackcurrant, then melts into a smooth blend of violet, musk, and praline. The drydown settles into warm cedarwood, vetiver, and black amber that stays elegant from start to finish.

Longevity: around 8–9 hours
Sillage: moderate, a clean sweet-woody trail that never shouts
