ā€œSince I don’t look like every other girl, it takes a while to be okay with that. To be different. But different is good.ā€ ~Serena Williams
Yesterday, I introduced the topic of body image. I did this for good reason ā¬‡ļø
Among women, studies commonly cite 69–84% experiencing body dissatisfaction, often desiring a lower weight than their current one. Among men, rates are lower but still notable, with 10–30% showing body dissatisfaction, frequently focused on wanting more muscularity.
This is why I think it’s important to discuss. šŸ’Æ
If 69-84% of women alone experience body dissatisfaction, I can only assume that many also struggle with body image.
While this program’s foundation is built on nutrition strategies and effective workouts, as your coach, I’d be remiss to avoid topics that, according to studies, 69-84% of people are struggling with. Health is comprehensive, and if I can help you reach your physical goals and learn to love your body regardless of its size, that’s what I’m going to do! 🫶
Speaking of nutrition strategies, you already know carb cycling is one of our foundational strategies—and lucky for you, today is low-carb day! If you like to have a sweet treat on low-carb days, you’re going to love these oatmeal(less) cookies (only 2.5g net carbs per cookie!) šŸ˜
