TAKING ACTION:
✅ If you’re comfortable, share your thoughts with me below after reading today’s post. Either way, comment ACCOUNTABILITY below if you’re committed to showing up in this accountability group moving forward!
Yesterday, we talked about accountability, and I asked you to rate yourself on where you fall when it comes to taking on accountability. If you found yourself in category two or three, the next thing you need to ask yourself is—why?
Knowing the answer to this question is a bigger deal than you think because, unless you address the root issue, you won’t ever solve the problem. 💯
From what I can tell, there are numerous reasons as to why someone might not want to allow for accountability in her life, but here are a couple of the most common reasons ⬇️
📌You don’t like to feel ashamed or attacked when someone calls you out. You take it personally.
📌Fear. You fear judgment, not feeling “good enough”, or any other negative emotion that comes up when held accountable; therefore, you avoid it.
Here’s what I want to say to you—both of these stem from your ego self (the identity you’ve built over your lifetime to protect yourself). And guess what? Neither has to have a grip on you.
Allowing for accountability, though sometimes uncomfortable, allows you to face the truth. It allows you to see reality for what it is—and that’s a GOOD thing, friends!
Accountability is your friend. I promise. Give it a try. 😉
