Tell me why I woke up this morning in full corporate mode… checking emails, planning meetings…
…only to realize I’m OFF today. šŸ˜‚
The W2 brain is strong.
While I’m still W2 for NOW and building in parallel, I’ve been deep in plan reviews. Shoutout to for helping me read my plans in a way that doesn’t send my stress levels through the roof.
Instead of:ā€œOMG this needs to be perfect and Pinterest-worthy and luxury andā€¦ā€
It’s now:
šŸ‘‰ What’s need-to-have vs nice-to-have
šŸ‘‰ What supports the appraisal?
šŸ‘‰ What supports the end game?
šŸ‘‰ What actually moves me toward 4–5 sets of duplexes… and eventually my event space vision?
That mindset shift alone reduced my stress 50%.
Still in pre-build mode. Still networking. Still sourcing lots. Still operating my duplex. Still working full-time.
End goal hasn’t changed:
šŸ˜ļø 4–5 duplex sets
šŸ’ø Scalable build-to-rent mid-term portfolio
Quick question for the group:
For those not building full-time yet — how do you stay locked in while juggling your W2?

Basically: W2 by day, Builder by destiny.
Because some days it feels like this caricature.
