When You’re Unsure What You Need 🌿
Have you ever found yourself feeling off, restless, or completely overwhelmed, but when you stop to ask yourself “What do I actually need right now?”... your mind just goes blank?
If so, take a slow, deep breath. You are not broken, and you aren’t doing healing wrong.
It is completely normal to feel stuck when you can't immediately put a name to what you need. So often, we try to solve our feelings like a puzzle. We analyze, we overthink, and we try to figure out the exact right action to take. But true clarity doesn't usually come from mental analysis—it emerges when our nervous system feels regulated and safe.
Here is what we often forget: confusion is often the gentle pause that precedes clarity in the body. When your system is overwhelmed, confusion is simply a sign that your body needs a moment to settle before it can show you the next step.
🌱 This Week’s Restoration Practice
Instead of trying to figure everything out right now, let’s make space for a simpler, gentler approach.
This week, abandon the need to analyze. Simply give yourself permission to notice what you instinctively move toward or away from.
- Notice if your body leans into a quiet room, a warm cup of tea, or stepping outside into fresh air.
- Notice if your body naturally pulls away from a screen, a loud space, or a busy schedule.
You don't have to explain it or justify it. Your body speaks in quiet whispers long before your mind finds the words. Trust those small cues, take it one gentle moment at a time, and let your nervous system lead the way.
