For all Notation based composers Noteperformer 5 is close
A couple weeks ago I heard chatter about Noteperformer 5 AI the famous Score reading Simulation software which can drive your premium Library’s in a way a tradional Daw can only achieve with a lot of manual work. Today I found a thread with official responses from Wallander the developers of Noteperformer. NP5 will appear in Q2 or Q3 2025. https://vi-control.net/community/threads/noteperformer-5-expectations-and-wishes.161028/
Free SpaceBlender from SoundToys
Might be good for sound design... I just gave a quick test run. It is quite reminiscent of Valhalla Shimmer, though thicker on the Reverb department. Applied sparingly it sounds pretty cool. That is, everything set between 8 and 10 on the clock, including Mix. I just tried it on a vocal. it's definitely expressive. Also reminiscent of the other free ones from Valhalla. https://forms.soundtoys.com/?utm_source=Master+List&utm_campaign=09a6e837ed-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2018_11_12_11_00_COPY_02&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_bbd3e23605-09a6e837ed-88926312&mc_cid=09a6e837ed&mc_eid=44c544bbd8#/free-spaceblender
Someone interested in the difference between vsl reverb and spitfire reverb?
I currently have the vsl synchron stage reverb for the next 30 days and i also own the full spitfire reverb. Maybe someone is interested in the difference inside of a video. Current test stats: VSL reverb requires about a third of cpu compared to spitfire Reverb, however Spitfire reverb is more suited for soundtracks and provides longer and more detailed sound responses compared to vsl which sounds really soundstagy. I personaly would prefer spitfires reverb also because you have way more options such as changeing panels and more freely Positioning of instruments on a virtual stage even when this ir simulation takes way more cpu

Noteperformer 5 AI is here and the changes are massiv and will influence the Orchestra based Soundtrack work forever, yet again!
According to the docs you can now stream each individual Instrument through the mixer in Dorico. You can now manualy correct how the AI works with Attack rates and Humanization. RAM usage is reduced drastically because all NPPE Instrument are loaded as vst3 in the subroutine. The update is free for subscribers. User made play engines are now possible. Traditional DAW composers now have real competition with AI based phrasing and user based custom made play engines on the horizon. Writing scores with library orchestras in the classical sense but also with custom made library’s will have a major workflow speed up. Composers with Notation background and skills will score a lot faster than with traditional DAWs and orchestra libraries. There are so many changes more than 4 pages read yourself: https://www.noteperformer.com/media/NotePerformer%20-%20Version%20History.pdf
