It is a bit of a complicated one—I have to admit—but once I dialed in the reverb harmony to the chord progression I played, that's when the fun really started. It's going to be the first video of many where I explore how to create hybrid orchestral video game-fitting soundscapes with my guitar instead of a synthesizer. Hey friends, We all know that with recorded drums, phase can be a big issue – multiple mics, different distances, frequencies cancelling each other, etc. We flip polarity, nudge tracks, all that stuff. But it got me thinking because I never used polarity(phase) switch on vsts before : What about VSTs and sample libraries? If we layer similar percussion sounds (like two kicks or two snares from different libraries), can they also cancel each other and cause phase problems? I asked ChatGPT about this and the (shortened) answer was basically: - Yes, VSTs can have phase issues when layering similar sounds, especially in the low end. - It’s not about microphones anymore, but about: - Good habits: Now I’m curious: What’s your experience with this? Have you ever had your layered kicks/snares suddenly sound weak or hollow in mono because of phasing? Do you just trust your ears, or do you use specific tools/workflows to avoid it?

Just a small heads-up for anyone using both Kaspersky and Cubase 15 on Windows: On my PC, Kaspersky was blocking all internet activity inside Cubase, even though my normal browser connection was fine.(this is a new case never happened before). When I closed Kaspersky, everything started working again. It affected online features in plugins like Master Plan, Fuel, and Musio/SINE player (license checks, logins, etc.). So if your plugins say “no internet connection” inside Cubase but everything else is online,👉 check your antivirus/firewall (Kaspersky in my case) it might be silently blocking Cubase.

Hey guys I'm thinking of expanding my plugin collection. Thought about the East west choir wuth the angel and devil cover. Also the Virharmonic violin. The budget would be around those two vsts, they're in sale now for 89€ and 150€ Unless... Someone knows a much better Plugin to get? What choir and violin plugins do you use? Right now I only have Kontakt choir but it sounds very unrealistic and the session strings are difficult to deal with when I wanna make more realistic stuff. So what's your thought?

Hey everyone, for ages I am looking for a solution to compensate hearing loss. My hearing loss in my right ear is pretty severe and I always had the idea of coming up with a plugin solution to compensate the hearing loss - at least in the DAW. I never found a good solution and never had time to develop something similar but now HEARS Perfection has been released. When you open the plugin you can start a hearing test and based on the results, it creates a frequency compensation curve for you. It obviously does not replace a full blown scientifically done hearing test but it gets sort of close. If you are interested, I attached the video here.
