Hi everyone,
I’m working through how to take all the musical ideas and themes I’ve composed and turn them into a concise, cohesive album. I’ve traditionally written more conventional rock and electronic songs, but lately many people have told me that my instrumental work leans toward videogame or film scoring.
I’d love for you to share your favorite portfolios, websites, and Spotify or YouTube links featuring full albums, original soundtracks, or composers you find inspiring, especially in the world of OSTs.
I’m in a great place with my full-time job, which I truly enjoy, and I don’t want to shift into music composition as work. That said, my dream is to create sound design and music for a video game or film one day.
Lately I’m also re-wiring how I think about structure, moving away from traditional intro-verse-chorus forms toward a more compositional approach. Any inspiration you can point me to would mean a lot.
tl;dr share your portfolios and great OSTs or composers to check out, please.
Thanks!
