@Mario Andreano nice man. I like the new intro better, it gives it room to breath. I would even strip it down even more for the first 4 bars and just let the Piano do its thing. Around 1:25 you have a cool synth arpegio coming on but its lost in the mix, I wanna hear it more so maybe you can play with removing something for a little and giving it time to shine? Hope this helps!

@Mario Andreano love that. I was also thinking it needs variation. The FX note is gold, thanks for suggesting, I think that makes so much sense. Appreciate you listening dude!

Hi everyone, I’m working through how to take all the musical ideas and themes I’ve composed and turn them into a concise, cohesive album. I’ve traditionally written more conventional rock and electronic songs, but lately many people have told me that my instrumental work leans toward videogame or film scoring. I’d love for you to share your favorite portfolios, websites, and Spotify or YouTube links featuring full albums, original soundtracks, or composers you find inspiring, especially in the world of OSTs. I’m in a great place with my full-time job, which I truly enjoy, and I don’t want to shift into music composition as work. That said, my dream is to create sound design and music for a video game or film one day. Lately I’m also re-wiring how I think about structure, moving away from traditional intro-verse-chorus forms toward a more compositional approach. Any inspiration you can point me to would mean a lot. tl;dr share your portfolios and great OSTs or composers to check out, please. Thanks! ~M

Important Community Update
Hey everyone, I need to address something that's been happening lately. We've been getting hit with spam accounts, AI bots, and people sneaking in just to promote their own services. It's been frustrating watching the quality of our community get diluted by freeloaders who don't actually care about growing as composers. Here's the thing - I spend a lot of time creating videos, tutorials, and answering private message questions entirely for free. And I'll continue doing that because I genuinely want to help you succeed. But to compensate for that time investment and keep this community sustainable, I'm introducing some changes: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY! ⚠️ For EVERYONE ALREADY HERE: If you joined for free, you're staying free. Forever. You're grandfathered in. NOTHING changes for you. ⚠️ ⚠️ If you purchased courses before, they are STAYING YOURS. If you joined the premium tier, EVERYTHING STAYS THE SAME ⚠️ For New Members (as of today, 22th Nov. 2025): - Standard Tier: $7/month or $70/year - Full community access, tutorials, partner deals, and networking resources - Premium Tier: $27/month or $270/year - Everything in Standard PLUS access to ALL courses on the platform (Trailer Music Trailblazers I & II, Game Music Conquerors, etc.) This isn't about making money. It's about protecting what we've built here and ensuring I can keep dedicating time to creating valuable content for you. A small barrier filters out the noise and keeps this community focused on what actually matters - helping serious composers build real careers. You'll see me sharing more valuable content, more actionable strategies, and less tolerance for BS moving forward. Questions? Drop them below. Cheerio, Alex

July '25 - Monthly Community Rewards! 💵
Here is the screenshot that I took at the 15th of July. Again I am a few days late but here we go. Congratz! @Andrew Hand - 40 EUR @Sean Walsh - 20 EUR @Matt McDonnell - 10 EUR Just in case you are curious again on how it works: 🗓 On the 15th of each month, I’ll check the Skool leaderboard and reward the top 3 people with: - 🥇 1st place: 40 EUR - 🥈 2nd place: 20 EUR - 🥉 3rd place: 10 EUR How does the leaderboard work? Skool automatically gives you points when your posts or comments receive likes. The more value you bring, the more likes you’ll get — and the higher you’ll climb. ✅ You get points when people like YOUR content (again when PEOPLE like YOUR content, not when YOU like other people's content) ❌ You don’t get points for liking others (but it’s still nice to do!) This isn’t about posting non-stop, posting about sample lib discounts all the time or spamming this place — it’s about quality! Share your progress, help others, ask good questions, or post useful insights — that’s what drives real engagement and community growth. And yep, more activity also helps boost our group in Skool’s discovery algorithm, meaning more exposure, more members, and more opportunities for everyone. Let’s make it fun, helpful, and a little competitive. Looking forward to seeing what you all share! — Alex

Congradz folks!!!
Do DAWs sound different?
I've seen the question "Which DAW should I use?" asked here several times. Hopefully the video below will help to make people's decisions a little easier.

I have been using Ableton for 7 years and am so used to it that I don't think I can change hahah. People say that ita not made for composting and wrotting thematic music but I disagree and have been doing it for years.

@Sean Walsh Facts! Also love the Max Live thing as well but haven't gotten a chance to use it yet. For stuff I do (progressive dark + electronic) music, I think it's super cool and fits.
