Alright lads, it’s that time again — we’re closing out 2025 with the Alpha Christmas Climb! We’ll be taking on Croagh Patrick on Sunday 21st December, meeting at 9 AM in the car park at the bottom of the mountain. This is always a great day out — bit of craic, a bit of pain, and a solid challenge before the Christmas chaos kicks in. 💪 Here’s what you need to know: - 🕘 Meet: 9 AM in the car park - 🌧️ Weather: Expect bad weather — bring wet gear - 🥾 Footwear: It’s rocky and uneven, so wear proper boots (no runners) - 🍫 Snacks: Bring food for the climb - ⏱️ Duration: Expect to be hiking for up to 4 hours Afterwards, we’ll head back into Westport for a well-earned feed. 👉 MAKE SURE YOU SIGN UP so I know how many of us are going — I need numbers to book the table in advance. Dieting Is Bloody Hard — Let’s Call It What It Is 🍽️🔥
One of the biggest battles you lads face when dieting is hunger. And that’s normal — especially at the start. Below is Step 1 of Performance Food from the Alpha Initiation Course. If you follow your meal structure properly, over time your hunger cues will only show up right before your planned meals. But in the beginning? You’ll feel hungry all day. Your job? Don’t give in. Ride it out. Your body will adjust. If you haven’t gone through the Performance Food module, I highly recommend watching those videos ASAP. It’ll make this whole process far easier. Dieting doesn’t need to be torture — but most lads make it harder on themselves by creating restrictions that aren’t necessary. Stick to the structure. Trust the process. Giddy up. 💪
