New to Tennis?—Here’s how to Start
If you’re new to tennis, here’s the easy way to start—without feeling overwhelmed. Start with these 3 steps: 1. Learn the basics first: Grip + 4 steps on how to hit a forehand and backhand: (see classroom—Home Court tennis) 2. Practice Simple Bounce Catch Drills to learn the rhythm of hitting. 3. Start learning to Serve from Day 1: Use the serve drills + warm up to begin the basics of how to serve, starting from 0 (I’ll attach it below) Keep it simple 🎾👍 Want help with a simple plan for your first 2 weeks? Get to the Ball Faster 💨
If you feel “slow” to the ball, it’s usually not about being faster. It’s about doing the first 2 steps the right way ✅ Here are 3 easy footwork tips: ⬇️ - Small hop ( a split step) when they hit: Do a tiny hop right when your opponent hits the ball. This helps you move fast. ✅ - First step is a push: Push off your foot to go. Don’t reach with your leg first. 🏃‍♂️ - Go back to your ready spot: After you move to hit the ball, take a few 2-3 quick steps back so you’re ready for the next ball.⏩ - Then repeat for each Ball! 🔁 Quick drill (see video) - Do 10 reps each way: hop → 2 fast steps (L or R) → stop and swing Split step and 2 quick steps = faster reaction and movement to the Ball! 👍 Ready to improve faster? Your Tennis Comeback—The Easy Way ✅
Quick tip: the hardest way to return to tennis is full speed, full court, day one. The easiest way is foundations first ☝️ Here’s what I recommend: - At home first: Foundational drills = the basics that bring back timing + tennis footwork back (go to Classroom → Foundations) - On court next: Mini tennis from the service line to lock in clean contact and easy swings to get rhythm and find the ball again - Then serve: Do this serve warm-up routine/drills to unlock the served basics again + get some rhythm on your toss + serve motion! - I’ll attach everything below!! 👇 Simple steps. Better results. Less frustration. Let’s get playing again 👏👏

Your Tennis Comeback—The Easy Way ✅
If your serve feels OFF, do this 👍🎾
Start with the easiest fix: make the toss repeatable, then add the hit for a smoother serve + rhythm! ⬇️ Try this 5-minute serve routine, as a warm up. (Video Below) - 10 tosses  - 10 toss and catches (at full reach) - 10 “tennis ball throws”  - 10 half serves from the service line.  Hit into the service box  (toss and then hit without letting the toss come down too much!) Regain your rhythm from the toss, throws, and half swings. Then start your serve practice ✅👏 —Miah All Court Tennis Collective P.S. Want help? Reply and tell me your #1 struggle.
