Well on my schedule today is supposed to be sprints, but I woke up and my body told me that it needed a break… So I’m exchanging tomorrow’s rest and recovery day for today and I did a full body stretch session with my peloton app! Do what your body tells you!

Good morning everyone!!!🥰 If you’re here and thinking…“Why does my body feel different than it used to?” “Why do the same workouts or diets not work anymore?”....You are not broken — you’re in a new hormonal chapter... Don't forget to check out my classroom for more on these crazy changes we go through!! During perimenopause and menopause our estrogen becomes unpredictable 😲Recovery can take longer 😲 Stress hits harder 😲Muscle loss can happen faster if we don’t train smart...and that’s exactly why we’re focusing on: ✨ Short, intentional S.I.T. workouts (not long cardio marathons that increase our cortisol and actually can make you GAIN fat instead of lose it) ✨ Lifting to protect muscle, bones, and metabolism ✨ Fueling our body with enough protein ✨ Rest and recovery....without guilt!! This challenge isn’t about punishment or “pushing harder.” It’s about working with your hormones, not against them.💜 On Day 1, your only job is to: ✅Show up ✅ Listen to your body ✅ Trust the process Progress in this wonderful (haha😅) season comes from consistency + compassion with yourself...not extremes. I know as we get older, sometimes it is SO freaking hard to feel as good in our skin as we used to, as confident as we once were, and sometimes even as happy as we used to be with the things life throws our way…. especially the changes that perimenopause and menopause bring to our bodies and mindset. We not only compare ourselves to others, but we also compare ourselves to our younger self (I know I sure do , and definitely struggle with this lately). One thing we have to remind ourselves …..we are our own worst critic , and people don’t see the “flaws” in you like you see them. Do you have stretch marks from carrying a baby?? Well, they are BEAUTIFUL and a reminder that you nourished and made a beautiful child inside of your strong body!! Do you have scars from an accident? They are reminder that you are a SURVIVOR and can get through so much!! Freckles that you hate?? Well, they make you unique and are so freaking CUTE!😍 ( some people even get them tattooed on now a days!😆) My point is… YOU reading this - are freaking BEAUTIFUL!! Every single part of you, every flaw you see. Now go look in the mirror and repeat after me… DAYAM you are fiiiiine! 😍 And have yourself a beautiful rest of your Monday!!!🥰🥰

YOUR DIET...NOT JUST THE FOOD YOU EAT!🍲
What you feed your body is SO much more than just food. 📺The things you watch on the television, (Watch the news all the time? That's most likely setting you up for anxiety as it's mainly negativity) 🧑‍🤝‍🧑The people you surround yourself with daily... are they supportive ? Are they a positive impact on your life? Do they make you feel good , or bad about yourself? Do they have good values? Sometimes, even though it can be SO hard- you just have to separate yourself from friends and family that bring you down or give you negative vibes. 🎶The music you listen to...does it make you smile with good feelings and nostalgic memories? Does it make you wanna shake yer ass and dance?😍💃🏻 Or does it make you feel aggressive, sad, or angry? Your diet is not only what you eat....it's what you read, the people you hang around - the things you watch and listen to. Feed your mind AND body well, and with your life change for the better😍
