Is it just me?

I saw a woman in town yesterday with a dark brown spaniel and a tiny, elderly white bichon Frise dog and before I knew what was happening, I said “oh, they are lovely dogs, are they twins?” and to give her full credit, she laughed and said “yes, identical twins”.

Much of the time, I I know that I’ll just confuse people with what I think of as observational humour, but it comes out anyway. I feel really sorry for other people sometimes, especially my wife, who I spend nearly all my time with!
