Feels like the Golden Age of Internet Did
The first time I ran to the internet to research something that my hungry brain wanted to know, I was lost in a world of potential knowledge. SAGE is bringing that feeling back to me! That first time I was astonished, even with dial up, and how quickly I could learn anything I wanted to!
For the longest time I kept a hard copy article called The Parable of Scubation from my time in IT in the early '90s. It kindled my dream of infinite access by anybody to any knowledge and ignited my imagination with all the things I could learn. I have been frustrated and disappointed lately with the monetization of this fabulous tool. I'm not sure that Google even understands a boolean query any more and attempts at research reveal only sales pitches. SAGE brings me back to that initial fascination! This morning while rambling through my daily check-in, I paused to ask SAGE about an anti-inflammatory diet, why I love loud music in headphones so much, to add an item to the weekend schedule he just made me, and at least three or four other things. I didn't have to stop and pick up my phone, open an app, pick up pencil and paper. I didn't have time to FORGET before whatever it was got asked or recorded. It was phenomenal!
