Does anyone else manage their ADHD like this?

I'm new here and I believe this is my first post, so I will introduce myself later. (the way I just ran off away from my point 😂)

Anyway, I once had a job at a factory where it was so simple. All I had to do was scan a piece of paper, scan a product and then scan another piece of paper to update it. A task that simple really makes me run off into my thoughts and I literally start forgetting that I'm at work and will drift into all kinds of dimensions, lol. If you don't update it, it will cancel out the order and the next crew will catch it and it will have to be sent all the way back to you so you can update it. Now, mind you, this is time sensitive because you are dealing with priority mail. So, after a few times of messing up because of the drifting, I decided to count the dings. Every time you scan, it will ding. So, I made it like a song. (ding, ding, ding) That way, I could make sure even though I may drift, I could hear the dings in the background. And if the song doesn't play right in my head, I would catch it.
