Join a book club from your couch — no pants required.
📚 That's exactly why I created Calm Book Club — a judgment-free space where there are no wrong answers, no pressure, and no one making you feel bad for watching the movie instead. 😄 We have cozy written discussions plus Live video sessions where you can actually talk about books with warm, welcoming people who get it. Our weekly live event, Shelf Care, is a favorite — it's a relaxed space to read and connect together in real time. Calm Book Club If that sounds like your kind of vibe, come find us! 🌿

Calm Book Club
Connecting with Fellow Skools Founders (readers niche)
📚 Hi everyone 👋 I run Calm Book Club — a cozy, discussion-focused community for readers and book lovers who enjoy thoughtful conversation without pressure. Most of our members are: • Fiction and thriller readers• Nonfiction / personal growth readers• Introverted book lovers looking for connection• People who genuinely enjoy recommending and discovering books I’m simply looking to connect with other founders whose communities might naturally overlap — writing, creativity, self-development, mindfulness, storytelling, etc. No big pitch here. Just open to: • Sharing ideas• Learning what’s working for you• Supporting each other’s growth• Exploring natural collaboration if it makes sense I really value communities that feel intentional and supportive, and I’d love to meet more founders building spaces like that. If that sounds aligned, feel free to comment or message me. Here’s the community if you’re curious: https://www.skool.com/book Always happy to connect 🤝

I’m gonna share something I reckon 99% of business owners wouldn’t…
Why wouldn’t they? Because they don’t wanna be judged. They don’t wanna look like they’re wobbling. They don’t wanna admit something feels OFF. They wanna keep the pretty-in-pink picture rolling where everything is EPIC AF 24/7 and nobody ever has a grumpy thought or a “hmmm this ain’t sitting right” moment. No cracks. No dips. No honesty. But nah that’s not me. I don’t run my business on pretending. I run it on INTEGRITY. My values run the show, not my fear of what someone might think about me if I say the slightly uncomfortable thing out loud. So here goes then I’ve been feeling a bit deflated in business lately. Not about my skills. Not about what I’m good at. Not about my clients. I know what I’m epic at It’s the landscape For example. I totes love Skool. It’s fricken awesome. I’ve met epic humans on there. I’ve grown things on there. No shade to the platform. But I joined a community that was all about sharing and promoting your business. More eyeballs, more visibility, woopity woop, let’s go. And yes, I know how to stand out in those spaces. I’ve had members and clients from them. That’s not the issue. The for me issue is this… There was one. Then two. Then about 77 doing the EXACT same thing. Same threads. Same “drop your link.” Same surface-level promo energy. Same vibe, just different logos etc etc… And I’m sat there sacrtching my head thinking… why am I in 77 versions of the same room when one would do? So yeah that’s grump number one. Grump number two is the fast-growth hype train. “I got 1,000 members in 7 days.” “We hit 5k this month.” Brilliant. Clap clap. Then you step inside and it’s tumbleweed. Or worse, engagement bait posts that mean absolutely gaff all. And then the owner disappears. The hype dies. The group goes flat. And I’m like… if it was THAT strong, why did it collapse the minute the noise stopped? That’s not community. That’s momentum marketing pfffttt Grump number three, and this is where I’m being properly outspoken, is this obsession with NUMBERS without DEPTH. Member count. Follower count. Screenshots. But where’s the damn connection? Where’s the implementation? Where’s the leadership once the hype stuff settles?
I’m gonna share something I reckon 99% of business owners wouldn’t…

@Mimi Ramsey The ones who complain that no one engages in their community. I mean, we get it, but there are many posts and videos about this problem. It usually comes down to a few (should be) obvious things

@Mimi Ramsey exactly. They could have either have the wrong community or don’t understand (yet) how people online want to be treated

This week, inside my community, I'm challenging my members to take one small step each day in order to improve their finances. And today is all about ACTION!!! Here was the exact challenge I gave them today ⤵️ Think about those expenses that aren't serving your right now: the streaming service you don't watch, the app you forgot to cancel after the free trial, or the gym membership you haven't used since 2024. Here's your challenge for today: 1. Open your phone’s App Store subscriptions or your bank statement. 2. Find ONE recurring payment that doesn’t bring you joy or value anymore. 3. Cancel it. (Yes, right now!) Comment CANCELLED with the amount you'll be saving each month when you are done!! If this sounds like the kind of motivation you need in your life, come join us inside The Empowered Money Circle! There's still time to join in on the challenge for this week!

@Lindsey Ciarrocca It was a recuring monthly video creation website I was using to edit tik tok videos. Turns out the TT platform was just as good.

@Lindsey Ciarrocca 1) cover the expenses associated with Skool. 2) travel and relax more
I've got this fun idea....
I'm trying something new in my group this month and love your thoughts on this. For the past 2 months I’ve been running themed, multi-day live experiences. My idea is: Build it live together. Keep the replays + workbook + AI Prompt in the classroom. Use it as both a learning asset and a conversion event👍 So far we’ve gone deep: 🌿7 - Days of Clarity & Focus (now a part of our 7 day onboarding) 🌿5-Day Decision Closed Sprint (decision capacity builder) Good stuff to keep in the classroom. Potential SLO content later. This month I’m pivoting. I feel a need for some playful embodiment. Less reflection. Less deep. Less long. Goal: 60-90 minute live special event. Real learning disguised as a party😉 I'm building a Bingo game-style word-swap event where we'll practice replacing shrinking language ("I just..."I'm sorry, but...", "Maybe...") with grounded authority-building language. I can see this like a practice lab for voice and visibility work. But...party style 🤗 Curious... For those of you who do transformational work or have a reflective space, have you pivoted to do something lighter and gamified like this? Love to chat with you about how it worked for you. Do you feel it diluted the depth of the work? Brought a welcome energy shift into your work? If you've never done this and want to follow along to see how it goes, that's welcome as well!

Such a great idea, the live community builds. I had mine done this way; it was fantastic. Any live events are great

@Jennifer Silbert, I think you are on the right track, at least with that mindset. I am really listening to my community members when they have ideas, suggestions, and especially critiques.
