Collecting cash on sales call
Thought I'd share a new approach that’s made closing and taking payment from prospects on sales calls way smoother I used to run into the same frustrating issue of a prospect being fully sold on the offer, but when it came time to pay they’d hesitate. They’d say they needed to get money together, wait on an invoice, or “sort a few things first.” I realized that the way I was asking for payment was part of the problem. Dropping a payment link or invoice at the end felt too abrupt—like I was suddenly shifting focus to their money instead of the value they were getting. And this lost me the deal more often than not. So I made a small change to my process. Instead of sending a payment link, I built out a simple packages page on my website. On the sales call, I walk them through it—showing them the offer, pricing, and setup fees in a super clear way (setup fee to boost LTV). Now, when they say they’re happy to move forward, the page is right in front of them. All they do is click “Sign Up,” fill in their details, and payment is handled right then and there. No awkwardness, no friction. Signed my last two clients this way, and so far, every single person who clicks “Sign Up” follows through. Curious to know if this is something many others are doing? Haven't seen much discussion on this but it's a small change that's made a massive difference for me
