How does this post get interaction but my posts are largely unnoticed?
No hate whatsoever, but I post consistently with pictures of the truck with branding and past work, and a quick message about the business. Is posting your labor rate that powerful or is this just because the low price? I’m not jealous at all because I know at that price they can’t be running a legal business or at least not for long, I just want to know if I’m making my posts wrong or something? I will add pictures of my posts in the comments.

Here's a great example from this morning. I want to ask so many questions but don't want it to come across as me talking shit. But it's definitely tempting.
@Bruce Oliver they're everywhere and then there's posts from people that have had multiple "mechanics" come out and not fix the issue and now they're looking for someone legit.
Broken off spark plug
Someone sent me these photos asking if I could extract it. Never dealt with this. What’s the best way to go about it and should I even take the job? 14 bmw 320i fyi

I'm fat but not even Forrest Gump could run as fast as me away from that.
Toilets ...
What do you guys all do for bathroom breaks during your work day? We're operating part-time at the moment so it hasn't been an issue yet, but hubby is wondering how to manage some of those basic needs when he eventually goes full-time. I'm thinking public toilets in between jobs.
That's a benefit to running a trailer. I can step inside and take care of things and pop back out.

P20EE fault, Out of warranty by one month. Dealer says needs DPF/SCR replacement. Anyways this is how I do my diagnostics and show my results to the customer without overloading the customer completely with info. They get the troubleshooting steps in the story, health report attached under inspection, screen shot of PID data issues if applicable, screen shots of procedures taken through the scan tool and sometimes we include a bit of service information (like we did in this case). So this isn't really a diagnostic question, but more of how does everyone else show their diagnostics work?

Can't tell if you've had to deal with warranty justification bullshit before at all. The hoops those desk jockeys made us jump through was astronomical and of course they didn't want to pay extra for it. I like what you did though, it gives them confidence that you know what you're doing.
Got rinsed yesterday
Customer requested a diagnostic for his Lexus and his tractor. I clearly explained my diagnostic fee over the phone, and he agreed. I spent about four hours diagnosing them and identified the root cause of each issue. After completing the work, I requested payment for the diagnostic. He initially said he would only pay half and the rest when I returned to perform the repair. I explained that diagnostic fees are due the same day and that I would provide a separate quote for the repair afterward. He refused at first but ultimately paid the full amount (10 minutes of arguing). The next day, after I sent him the repair quote, he became hostile, accused me of scamming him, demanded a refund, said he would file a police report and even threatened to report me to ICE despite me being born in the U.S. To avoid further conflict and wasting time, I chose to refund him and move on. Oh yeah his house was worth 1.6 Million. He also just sold a 1 million dollar gas station and owns many more.

@Ben Dellaria I have1 on the HD side but he's definitely the exception and not the rule. He just says do whatever needs done and let him know the price at the end. Auto side is where people really get dumb.
