6.0 Powerstroke Trans Cooler Lines. Rust vs ALDATA Time?
Hey guys, quick question. 2004 F250 6.0 Powerstroke with heavily rusted transmission cooler lines leaking. ALDATA shows about 1 hour per line, but this truck is pretty corroded (Midwest salt). How are you guys handling these in the real world? Are you quoting straight book time or adding extra for rust? How often are fittings snapping on you? And honestly do you even take jobs like this mobile, or leave them for a shop? Appreciate any input.
Podcast is live!!
All right everybody the podcast is live. Our first episode went out last night. So if you want to support more of the channel, my Linktree is here and you can go check it out on Spotify, YouTube and Apple podcast. Apple podcast might not come out until tonight, but you can try the other ones and take a listen to it. We interviewed Jason Hughes which is in the group. And he is with Hughes Diesel and performance. https://linktr.ee/3tsmobile

Watched the whole thing. Good job to both. Nice story!
Slow Days
So I have had plenty of slow days since I started my business. They feel different to me than the slow days I've had when working in a shop for someone else. Anybody else feel that way? Last month was good and this month has been fantastic up until today. I had 1 small job today and nothing else on the schedule. I know the phone will ring and it will pick back up, but it makes my mind wonder and get negative thoughts going.

I always try to think long term. In the short term, I know there will be ups and downs, but over time, if I keep doing my best and build a strong reputation, the customers will keep growing. It just takes time to build. I use slow periods to improve the business in different ways. I already get repeat customers, and I’m sure you do too. Just imagine how many more repeat customers you’ll have down the road. It’ll get to the point where it’ll be hard to keep up with all the work.
Business Credit Lines
Asking the community for tips on increasing credit lines through the banks. Our business goes through ?Chase for banking for pure convenience. Nearest branch is less than a mile from our house. When we started the business last April we were given 3000 limit for our business credit card, and it is still 3000 today. I asked at 6 months, 9 months, and now again at 12 months for an increase of credit limit and have gotten nowhere. Not even a rejection letter. Like our inquiries end up in oblivion. Being on the diesel side everything is much more expensive. We cycled 196k in parts from April to December, so more often then not this is how our day goes for ordering; I'm purchasing parts, paying off the balance, purchasing parts, and again paying off the balance all on the same day. Some engines have injector cost of 450$. Multiply that by 8 and we're above limit so we have to split the purchase. 6.7 Cummstain turbos are 7k so its doing three partial payments to Dodge and 3 balance payoffs to chase before we can have the part in hand. It's just driving me up a wall so I'm seeing if anyone has tips on what to say to increase credit limits for their business. I'd like to keep Chase for the convenience factor, and have never been wronged by them so have no real reason to switch banks.

I have Capital One. I was able to increase my limit by $4,000 in just a few minutes. I logged into the app, updated my annual income in settings, then used the virtual assistant to request a credit increase. Answered a few questions and got approved right away.
