I want to name something today that I don’t think midlife women are given enough permission to say out loud.
Sometimes the hardest part isn’t just the symptom. It’s the grief underneath it. I remember standing in my kitchen late one night — depleted in a way food couldn’t fix, sleep broken for weeks, body that felt like it belonged to someone I used to know. I wasn’t sad, exactly. I was disoriented. And underneath the disorientation was a sentence I hadn’t let myself say yet: I don’t feel like myself anymore. That was grief. I just didn’t have language for it. The grief of your body feeling unfamiliar. The grief of needing more recovery than you used to. The grief of reaching for the old version of you and coming up short. But here is the reframe I keep coming back to: maybe your body isn’t asking you to become the old you again. Maybe it’s asking you to build trust with the woman you are becoming. So today’s question is simple — and you can answer with just a number: Where do you feel the ‘I don’t feel like myself’ grief the most right now? 1. My body and how it feels physically 2. My energy and stamina 3. My mood and emotional steadiness 4. My sleep 5. My confidence 6. My strength and fitness 7. My joy — things that used to feel good don’t feel the same 8. My relationships and how I show up in them Drop your number below. Add a sentence if you want to. No shame here. Just truth. This is where the map starts.

Your body didn’t stop working. The old rules stopped working.
This is the thought I want us to sit with today. Because so many women in midlife are blaming themselves for things that may actually be feedback — the sleep that changed, the energy that dipped, the belly that feels different, the cravings at night, the patience that feels thinner than it used to. For years, many of us lived by old rules: ☕ Coffee can count as breakfast 🏃‍♀️ Push harder when you feel off 😴 Sleep can wait 🥗 Eat less if your body changes 💪 Power through stress 🤐 Be fine ✨ Put joy last. And maybe those rules worked for a while. Until they didn’t. That doesn’t mean your body is broken. It may mean your body is asking for a new kind of support. Today’s check-in: What old rule is your body asking you to release? Pick one number and drop it below. Add one sentence if you want. No shame. No fixing everything today. Just noticing. • 1. Skipping meals • 2. Running on coffee • 3. Ignoring sleep • 4. Exercising from punishment • 5. Carrying too much stress • 6. Saying yes when your body needed no • 7. Treating joy like something extra That is how we build the map.

1,2,3,4,5,6,7… I didn’t find the all of the above plan… But I have done all of the above
🌿 Tomorrow we begin the 7 Day Energy Reset
Welcome to the reset. Before we begin, I want you to hear this: This is not a challenge to prove you are disciplined. This is not a punishment plan. This is not about doing everything perfectly for seven days. This is about listening to your body again. So many midlife women are walking into their weeks already depleted. Tired before Monday even starts. Craving at night. Waking up unrested. Feeling puffy, foggy, flat, irritated, or disconnected from themselves. And then they blame themselves. But here is the truth we are working from inside The Menopause Map: You are not lazy, you may be under-supported. This week, we are going to build support one small floor at a time. Each day will be simple: One short lesson One reflection One small action One minimum win That is it. Your job is not to overhaul your life. Your job is to notice what your body has been trying to tell you. For today, introduce yourself below and answer this: What is the one thing you most want more of this week? Energy? Better sleep? Less snacking?More calm? More consistency? More hope? A body that feels less like a stranger? Drop your answer below. Tomorrow we begin. One floor at a time.

Hi I'm Vickie Helm and I want to get my sugar cravings under control
I’m officially calling time-out on "Suck it up, buttercup."
If you’ve been told—by society, by doctors, or even by that quiet voice in your own head—to just "suck it up" and deal with the midlife exhaustion, the brain fog, and the metabolic shifts... I want you to stop what you're doing right now and watch this clip from my live. 🎬 Accepting zero energy as your "new normal" is a trap. You aren't losing your drive; you simply haven't been given the right strategy for this stage of life. This Monday morning, we officially kick off the paid 7-Day Energy Reset. This is our container to stop the guesswork. We are going to implement the exact protocols to stabilize your metabolism, preserve your muscle, and plug the specific drains that are stealing your vitality. Don't let another week slide by on empty. 👉 Here's where you can register for the 7-Day Energy Reset Program. Comment below if you’re ready to drop the "suck it up" mentality and claim your map! 🗺️

I'm with you... I'm tired of blowing things off as suck it up buttercup...
Today at 1 PM ET, I’m going live on Substack for the first Menopause Map conversation.
This feels like an important moment for the work we are building here. Last night I asked a question on Substack: What is one thing no one prepared you for? That question is the heart of today’s live. Because so many women were prepared to push through, stay quiet, figure it out alone, and blame themselves when their bodies changed. But we were not prepared with a map. Today I’ll be talking about the symptoms, silence, shame, and self-blame so many women carry into midlife. The leaking. The rage. The brain fog.The exhaustion. The belly changes. The quiet grief of not feeling like yourself. You are not lost. You were never given the map. If you can join live today (Wednesday) at 1 PM ET, I would love to have you there. If you cannot, I’ll share the replay afterward. Question for you here: What is one thing you wish someone had told you about your body before midlife? Drop it below if you feel comfortable. Your answer may help shape future Menopause Map conversations.
