Creating a Resume AI tool
Hi All, I write resumes for Retail Managers looking to change careers, but I want to create a AI tool that builds them like I do (using the 500 versions I've created over the years). Offering say a monthly subscription to the service (where maybe it can write them cover letters to keep them signed up beyond getting the Resume created). Anyone know any resources that can help create a tool like this? builders etc? Potentially open to a collaboration too, if someone with experience wanted to build it and we REV share, but being transparent I did want to have a go at building one myself first. Gdoc feedback
Hey all 👋 I’d love some feedback on a pre-order Google Doc for a new offer I’m testing with my career change audience (Retail Store Managers who want out of retail). https://docs.google.com/document/d/1cbgNliFs0vXxiBsnovz0N9mA1AO9zj29vF_7u4GmLuo/edit?usp=sharing I’ve been reading Fans & Fortunes Formula recently, and one example from Travis really hit home. He talks about building complete, end-to-end systems in isolation… only to hear crickets when they launch. If I’m honest, I’ve made that exact mistake before, creating a full “career change system” without properly validating what people actually wanted at that stage of their journey. I get a few people sign up, but considering I've got an audience of 30k+ people, I generally get about 1-2 sales per month from this (and I'm selling nothing else at the moment). So, I started with a simple poll to test demand. Around 20% said they’d buy, and 50% said they wanted more information. Instead of jumping straight into building, I followed up with people from the poll to understand their real frustrations. Most people weren’t looking for a full programme yet.They were stuck much earlier, simply wanting clarity on what careers they could realistically move into as retail managers. So rather than over-engineering another big solution, I’ve pulled together a much simpler offer focused purely on that problem: helping retail managers see the options available to them. This Google Doc is intentionally a test, both to give value to those who asked for more info and to see whether people will actually buy before I build anything bigger. I’d really appreciate any feedback on: - The clarity of the offer - Structure of the gdoc I feel like it's a lot for a simple guide, but it is my first gdoc so gave it a best shot! @Travis Sago I think this is where I'm coming from a place that I think all of that would take 20 minutes but I've been doing this for 7 years. On the outside it might not look so doable.
