Google just dropped some major updates to Gemini that you can use right now for free.
I'll be honest, I'm not sure what the point of Gemini Advanced is anymore If you haven't visited Google's AI Studio yet this is an awesome website you can use for free! Google's AI Image Upgrades - Google's AI images are now much higher quality: You can edit photos naturally, add color to sketches, and even create visual stories - You can generate images using Google AI Studio instead of the regular Gemini site - The quality now rivals Flux-1 (Grok) and DALLE3 for many use cases - - Deep Research & Gems Free for Everyone - Deep Research was previously locked behind the $20/month Gemini Advanced plan - Use it on Gemini's website by selecting "Deep Research" from the model dropdown - Google Gems (their version of Custom GPTs) are now available to all users - You can upload up to 10 files to train each Gem for more personalized responses New Audio Overviews Updates - Turn any Deep Research result into an audio summary (just like NotebookLM) - Perfect for absorbing information while multitasking - This feature isn't available on ChatGPT, Perplexity, or DeepSeek - Audio files can be downloaded for offline listening With all the hype around OpenAI, DeepSeek, xAI, etc. Google is quietly making steady improvements. Never count Google out of the "AI Race." With its massive advantages in data, infrastructure, ecosystem, and talent, Google will always be a major player in this next space race.
