I finally wrote up my thoughts on Import Alert 66-80
My DMs have been flooded all week. "Derek, is this the end?" "Are prices going up?" "Should I stock up?" So I broke it all down: → What 66-80 actually does → How it hits compounding pharmacies (spoiler: it's real) → Why ALL research peptides might see price increases (not just GLP-1s) → The liquidation sales happening right now—and why I don't think 66-80 is the reason → What I'm actually watching over the next few months Short version: I've yet to see anything kill this space. I don't see it happening as fast as everyone's panicking about. But there ARE real implications here. Thanks for clarifying as always! 💪
Thymulin vs. Thymosin Alpha-1 — what's the difference? 🧬
If you've looked into thymic peptides, you've probably seen both of these come up. Same gland. Both "immune peptides." Must be pretty similar, right? Not even close. These two work through completely different mechanisms: → One works directly on T-cells and requires zinc to function → One activates dendritic cells through toll-like receptors → One has major neuroendocrine crossover → One bridges innate and adaptive immunity → One crashes hard with age (often undetectable by 60) → One is approved in 30+ countries with extensive clinical data Knowing the difference matters if you're researching either one. Broke it all down in the new Substack — the mechanisms, what each one actually does, and when one might make more sense than the other. @Derek Pruski Differences between Thymulin and Thymalin is my question.
My Favorite Research Peptide for Sleep Support & Restoring Deep Sleep 😴
After trying DSIP with zero results, I found something that actually worked. Not a sleep "drug." Not another melatonin supplement. A peptide that works through an entirely different mechanism—one that's been studied for 35+ years (mostly in Russia) with some pretty wild implications beyond just sleep. The best part? The sleep improvements feel natural. No grogginess. No dependency. Just easier wind-down and better quality rest. What makes it different: It doesn't just knock you out like a sedative. It works by regulating your pineal gland and supporting your body's natural melatonin production. But that's just the beginning of what it does... The deeper mechanism involves something called telomeres (your cellular "aging clock") and an enzyme most of your cells don't produce anymore. I broke down the full science, mechanisms, research, and my lab rat's 15-day protocol in my latest deep dive. Read the full breakdown here: https://open.substack.com/pub/derekpruski/p/understanding-epithalon-the-longevity?r=4jq1x8&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&showWelcomeOnShare=true Including: ✅ How it actually works (explained simply) ✅ Why telomeres matter for sleep AND longevity ✅ The research behind it ✅ Real-world 15-day protocol results ✅ Dosing and cycling protocols Worth a read if you're struggling with sleep or just curious about the intersection of peptides, longevity science, and cellular health. Drop a comment if you've tried this one—curious to hear your experiences. 👇

I agree on Epitalon. Best for me.

@Lenni Jhonson Not when my RS takes it.
What Peptides Are Your Must Haves Outside Of GLPs?
I know every post you're seeing out there right now is fear-mongering about GLP-1s going away after 12/31. We just have to wait and see what happens at this point. I'm not going to speculate anymore because there are so many possibilities. I will say if a company is contributing to this and it turns out to be a marketing ploy, they will lose ALL trust and be removed. That begs the question, what other research peptides could you not live without outside of the GLPs? Please drop them down below with your reasoning 👇

Critics of Reta
I wanted to solicit feedback from people who have an RS who DID NOT have success with Reta. I know you are out there and silent because Reta is so universally loved. Maybe your RS did better with Tirz. Maybe your RS had bad side effects and stopped? Maybe your RS got no results at all. Give me your stories please! I have a theory that I am trying to either validate or disprove. My theory is that Reta works really well for a certain type of RS, but not for everyone.

Following with great interest. Tirz is working for me so while intrigued by Reta also not sure I want to switch if not necessary. But the glucagon addition is very enticing.
