Summary of the 17th Para ("Iqtarabalinnas")
The 16th Para begins in Surah Al-Anbiya and continues into the beginning of Surah Al-Hajj. This Para focuses on the themes of the coming of the Hour (Day of Judgment), the signs of the end times, and the stories of various prophets. It highlights the importance of obedience to Allah, justice, and the certainty of the Day of Judgment. In the beginning of Surah Al-Anbiya, Allah mentions the closeness of the Day of Judgment: "Iqtarabali-n-nas hisabuhum wa hum fee ghaflahim mu’ridun" “The hour has drawn near for mankind, and they are in a state of heedlessness, turning away.” This emphasizes that the Day of Judgment is near, and many people remain heedless, neglecting their responsibilities towards Allah and their fellow human beings. The Surah also mentions the stories of various prophets such as Prophet Ibrahim (AS), Prophet Nuh (AS), and Prophet Musa (AS), and highlights their struggles with their people. Despite the difficulties they faced, they remained patient and committed to the guidance of Allah. Their stories serve as a reminder of the importance of faith, perseverance, and trust in Allah during times of trial. In Surah Al-Hajj, Allah addresses the believers and emphasizes the importance of worship and obedience to Him. The Surah talks about the rites of Hajj and the significance of sacrifice. It reminds believers of their duty to uphold justice, serve humanity, and recognize that everything in the heavens and earth belongs to Allah. The Para also mentions the importance of sincerity in worship and the need to rely on Allah in all aspects of life. It warns against the arrogance of the disbelievers and highlights the certainty of the Day of Judgment, when every soul will be rewarded or punished for their deeds.
