Your story is worth telling
Every woman in here came to this space carrying something... questions, frustration, maybe years of "it's probably just stress." And somewhere along the way, something started to shift. I love featuring member stories not because they're tidy, but because they're honest. And honest is what actually helps someone else feel less alone. 👇 Want to be this week's spotlight? Share a bit of your experience below... where you were, what changed, or what you're still figuring out. Unpolished is perfect.

I was born in the city, raised in the country, one mile from a small town. I had my menses at thirteen. They were far from being regular. It could skip four months; six months, nine months, whatever. And I had nobody to ask about whether this was normal or not, and I wouldn't have known what question to ask. Um, I don't even think we thought of mentioning it to a doctor. Okay. later, obviously, because of irregular menstruation, I used the pill, and that was magic because all of a sudden, I would have my menstruation on a normal cycle. And, uh, then years later, when I wanted to start a family, I couldn't get pregnant. So I had to take a medication called Clomid to help my ovaries release eggs. And, finally, I did have one daughter. Looking back there were signs along the way. now that I'm in this PMOS community, I realize that I not only did I survive trauma in my life early on, I also certainly had hormonal irregularities. I did have a little fuzz, you know, ‘mustache’in puberty that I... as soon as I could get my hand on some hair bleach, I would bleach. Uh, and later on, wax during high school and years later on it stopped growing. So it's the story of a seventy year old, female on this planet who had no concept of, this condition. And, uh, so now that I that I'm learning about, what are some of the associated higher risks for anxiety and depression, maybe more frequent burnouts than in the population in general…It certainly rings true because that is the story of my life. Although I've always studied and to this day continue to learn and do self improvement, it was a real challenge for me. I mean, not that I regret what I've learned, but, that's the story of life. Aren’t we blessed to have some specialists offering support in this field more recently. Thank you Dr D! And this community👍
You're only a beginner once
*"I would rather be a bad feminist than no feminist at all."* *Roxane Gay, Bad Feminist* Bad cook. Really bad at not googling symptoms at midnight. A mentor of mine once said: "You're only a beginner once." And when you're learning anything... really learning it... there are going to be some rough, embarrassing, start-over-from-scratch versions along the way. 🫤 Being bad at it is the only way through to better. What are you giving yourself permission to be a beginner at right now? 🙋 Raise your hand below.

Going to a podiatrist for professional care of my 2 big toes’s nails. Treated for fungus for over 1 and1/2 years. Turns out to not be fungus! Probably repeated toe trauma from overdoing my walking while traveling🤣. Go during open toes seasons!!!
✨ Sunday Shift & Energy Code Challenge Plan for the Constraint
Happy Sunday shift day! 🌟 1) An email popped into my inbox today, and I thought, "Oh my gosh, they're talking about the Sunday Shift." It was a book review about how planning for the biggest constraints usually helps everyone. One of the stories was about changing sidewalks to make them more wheelchair-accessible. Suddenly, there were more people walking with strollers, more people with carts, and people carrying grocery bags on wheels. When we plan our lives for the biggest constraint, we lift everyone... because everyone's life is constrained at least some of the time. If we figure out how to eat well when we only have 5 minutes. We lift our floor, we lift our consistency. 🌟 2) we plan for constraunt with the Sunday Shift: the Good, Better, Best framework. We plan the "good" for a hard week because we are already planning for a constrained week. If we figure out what success looks like on a constrained week and build on that over time, we raise our floor more consistently. That's the life-changing impact of the Good, Better, Best framework. ✨ TWO OPTIONS: Choose YOUR Adventure ──────────────────────────── ✅ OPTION 1: Self-Led Vision Your Good / Better / Best for the week ahead ──────────────────────────── The goal today is to address what I'm hearing a lot in the group: taking a break from habits to figure out what to focus on. That insight is huge because it's the basis of success. Drop your Good / Better / Best in the comments below with #ShiftCommitment. 🔎 Not sure what to focus on? Just post one word below. ──────────────────────────── ✅ OPTION 2: For those who bought the Energy Code Challenge Last video is about getting focused, your next best move ──────────────────────────── For all of you in the Energy Code Challenge, if you haven't watched the last video, it's all about helping you figure out your next best move. It's an underestimated conversation piece, but it's essential... because you can't have ten focuses and expect to be successful. The work is getting focused.

Awareness precedes change.🌝
Big day PCOS has a name change today PMOS
For years I've said pcos is a misnomer. You don't have cysts on your ovaries despite the name 🤪 The way pcos/pmos ovaries look like in ultrasound is because of the egg follicules! So what does PMOS stand for: Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome 👏👏👏👏👏 so much better. So much more accurate "New name to improve diagnosis and care of condition affecting 170 million women worldwide" This day will forever be a special one. Research progress and advocacy at play! Now to update all my things in all the places .... websites etc. How do you feel about this?

✨️ Mel's Sunday Shift week of MAY 10
🧠 Reflection This week was a bit of a modified week for me because I dedicated time to hang out with my bestie, who's had a newborn, to help with that lovely transition and get some newborn snuggles. I know Mother's Day can be a day that brings a spectrum of emotions... people remembering their mothers, mourning, joy, love, eishing for motherhood and everything in between. So, for those who are having a heavy day I'm keeping extra space for you in my heart today. May today be a day where we honor ourselves. 🌿 My Learning Reflecting on my "good-better-best" days, I was really anchored on more movement. I've had a lot more lovely walks this week, which has been truly cup-filling. ✅ Good / Better / Best Goals I want to continue anchoring on my daily movement... not intentiinal exercise per se, just the everyday movenebt between intention excersice. Since much of my workday happens behind a computer, I need to be intentional about non-exercise movement and pay attention to it. I'll make this my "good-better-best" goal and have been working on getting the tech I have to track it better. Good: Explore baselines, get curious, and reflect on what influences my activity. Better: Achieve 5,000 steps every day. Best: Reach 7,000 steps most days, aiming for 7,000 steps. 🎯 Intentions for This Week → Anchor on daily movement → Pay attention to non-exercise movement throughout the workday → Get the tracking tech dialed in → Keep the walks going
