@Christine Miller i was all about the paper calendar up until recently and then I realized that it is a lot easier just to put my appointments in my phone instead of carrying a calendar with me. why carry more than I have to.
Advent calendars
Normally we do advent calendars to help the kids with counting down to the Birth of Christ, but in reality, the only ones who were probably counting down to the birth was Mary and Joseph, as they travelled from one place to another. so this year we did a countdown chain!!! Remember cutting strips of paper to make a chain, why not do it for Christmas, and as each day goes by, you remove the tape - NO TOYS, NO SMALL PARTs and its REUSEABLE, and the kids can color, paint, decorate the chain!!!! The best part -ITS FREE and Creates memories!!! Credit goes to: The idea was taken from Highlights hello story!!

@Michelle McCartney just take the tape off and store the strips of paper in a bag for the next year.

@Michelle McCartney yea, or you could use a scissors and cut the tape and just place new tape next year.
Bringing Light Back… One December Step at a Time 🕯️
December literally just started and I’ve been Hillary Duff “Hey now, hey now” levels of overwhelmed for a while. 😅 But today I did something... I finally cut my hair… after 14 YEARS. Fourteen. Years. Who even AM I?! 😂✂️ It feels like a little act of bringing light back into my life: refreshing, freeing, like letting YHWH prune what He needs to prune so something new can grow. In my home we are getting excited for Hanukkah in a couple weeks, the Feast of Dedication, a season of light pushing back every shadow. So today I’m asking: What’s ONE small way you’re inviting LIGHT back into your home, your heart, or your habits this week? 🕯️ Lighting candles 🕯️ Decluttering one corner 🕯️ Getting outside 🕯️ Speaking life 🕯️ Letting something go 🕯️ Doing something brave (like… haircut brave 😅✂️) Share yours below! I love hearing these. 💕

❄️ What is your favorite snow day food?
Today is a snowww dayyy! ❤️ I am grateful my husband got home safely since apparently the plows are very behind today. So i threw some bones in some water, made a yummy bone broth, tossed together flour and eggs to make noodles, and chopped some veggies. 🤤 I love to finish it by whisking in some scrambled eggs and then topping with heavy cream. Makes a yummy high protein and creamy chicken noodle soup. Perfect for the snowy days 👇 What is your favorite snow day food?

Ever hit that point where your brain leaves the chat but your body keeps pretending it’s fine?
I had one of those moments this week where I was just standing in the kitchen staring at a packet of pasta like it was some sort of advanced maths equation, and the ridiculous part is nothing was actually wrong, it was just that my brain had tapped out long before my body realised it was supposed to stop too. People talk about burnout like it’s this big dramatic collapse but honestly, most of the time it’s the tiny shutdowns that give us away, the micro-freezes, the blank stares at random objects, the sudden “nope, I can’t” that slips out before you even know you’re saying it, and if you’re a mum of ND kids AND running a business, you’ll know exactly what I mean because capacity isn’t a weekly conversation or even a daily one, it’s every hour, every decision, every moment where you’re trying to hold everything together while your nervous system is whispering “absolutely not.” And I’m curious, genuinely, because we rarely talk about the early signs, the subtle ones before it becomes “too much,” before you hit the point where you’re crying over something stupid like the way the dishwasher was stacked or the fact someone breathed too loudly. What does burnout look like in you before it hits the red zone? The real stuff. The messy stuff. The micro-signals your body gives you that say: “I’m done but I’m still pretending I’m not.” I reckon whatever you share, someone is going to read it and think, “God, same.”
