🫠 Dynamite, Donuts, and a Sea Shanty
Today I have: 🙃 done the copy review call 🙃 done the co-working call 🙃 helped my 7 year old make scrambled eggs from start to finish for the first time 🙃 learned how to play a sea shanty on the piano 🙃 done some paperwork for my husband 🙃 sent in a support ticket for a piece of equipment I ordered 3 weeks ago 🙃 and more. and honestly, after a night of nursing and rocking a child that I suspect is going through a growth spurt, I am exhausted. and it def doesn't help that my husband is extra stressed about his overnight shifts that start this weekend and last an entire 3 weeks. Oh, and I also worked out for the first time in forever yesterday so my body is yelling at me to stop moving. but, after spending 10 minutes messing around on the piano with my kids and learning how to play a sea shanty while they sang "ohhhh what do we do with a drunken sailor?!" I feel renewed. 👉 So, here's what the rest of my day looks like... 🌈 I am ordering powdered sugar to get delivered. 🌈 We are spending the next hour doing an intense deep clean of the kitchen, living room, and bedroom. 🌈 Then, we're making homemade donuts with cream cheese glaze. 🌈 and i'm making chicken, sweet potatoes, and asparagus for dinner. 🌈 Then, i'm doing myself up all nice and good and getting into a dress that makes me shutter now that i'm a mom but I still have in the closet because the hubby likes it (you know the type i'm talking about). 🌈 When my husband gets home, we'll have a delicious dinner ready to go, the home will be clean, fresh and warm donuts will be ready for dessert, and i'll look like dynamite (which will be a nice change from the work-at-home-mom in pajamas get up i'm normally rocking). I have a podcast episode to film tonight but I think i'm going to cancel it too, because honestly, this week has been stressful and our family needs this. 👇Have you ever had the kind of day where you're like "f*ck it.
