Hello Fabulous Facilitators! My name is Shannon and I’m new to the Facilitator Club! Thought a fun way to get to know each other is through sharing positive facilitation stories and how these stories shape us as facilitators. Okay, here’s my story. In December, my friend and I signed a contract to facilitate a 2-day leadership development program throughout 2024, for a tech company in Silicon Valley. After co-facilitating 3 sessions, the client decided that they want me to facilitate all of the remaining sessions! Wow - I was shocked (and sad for my friend). The client said that they love my facilitation style, that I’m a good fit for their culture and the participants like me. ☺️ This experience helped me see my unique value-add as a facilitator and gave me a huge boost of confidence! With that confidence, I informally pitched the LDJ to a former colleague and now she's talking with her manager about it on Wednesday! Fingers crossed!! Your turn to share your story!
