Just Finished "Start Here" Here's What I Think
First of all, massive respect to Haroon for what he's building and doing it for free. That says a lot. Looking at the leaderboard, it seems like around 10k members aren't really active. I might be wrong tho.. And honestly, I'm not blaming anyone everyone has their own priorities and stuff going on in life. But me personally? I'm genuinely excited to learn. I've been on Upwork for 5 years. Just hit 10k And looking back, it wasn't going to happen if I didn't take a few real actions these last few months. I'll be honest I was lazy... That's on me. I've some personal things weighing on me for the last 2 to 3 years that I still haven't figured out how to deal with. It's like carrying something heavy every single day and not knowing how to put it down... About the videos I noticed 2 or 3 are a bit repetitive, but I actually get why. It's for the beginners who need that reminder, who need to hear it twice before it clicks and they actually move forward... And for the last video "Don't Make This Mistake in Learning" here is what I understand from some people's psychology. Because I've watched it happen for years, especially since COVID. People get sold the highlight reel. The money screenshots. The "look what I made" posts. But nobody shows the boring, ugly, repetitive work that actually built that thing. And people fall for it every time and then blame themselves or other creator who are actually trying to put some genuine effort when it doesn't work out the same way for them. People are impatient. That's really the core of it. When someone builds a system where you have to earn your way up, they're thinking "this journey will make you better." But the person joining is thinking how do I get to the top as fast as possible? It's like unlocking levels in a video game by entering cheat codes. Sure, you're now at level 10 but you never actually learned how to play. A few reasons people do it: They want the status, not the substance. The higher level looks impressive.
