Support Tag in Skool Chats
Why is Skool awesome? Because it combines Community, Courses and Events - all on one platform. What is missing? Support Chat with the coaches. I'm able to engage in 1:1 chats with my mentees, but as the support team expands, having access to chats tagged for support would be invaluable. Sure, a workaround like email support (e.g., Help Scout) could be used. However, every Skool message brings my mentees back to the Skool platform, and I prefer not to alternate between email and Skool messages, as it could divert mentees away from Skool. I've discussed this feature with the Skool team, and it's already on their backlog. Would anyone else appreciate a feature like this? What do you think @Sam Ovens @Alex Hormozi @Ted Carr @Sid Sahasrabuddhe ?

New feature: Calendar event permissions (+ more)
Now you can set access permissions for your events, just like courses. You can make events accessible to members at a level, or members with a course. You can set a cover image to personalize your events, and specify the link/address separate from the description so it shows/hides depending on the member's access. We renamed the "Calendar" tab to "Events" because it's the events that are important, and this new UI emphasizes the events instead of empty white space. We added a cool "LIVE" indicator too! Watch this video to see how this new feature works, and let us know what you think?

@Sam Ovens @Sid Sahasrabuddhe Cool new features! Thank you so much! Is it possible to add a 3rd way to unlock the Event for only some specific members I can select from a list? Why do I need this? Once a month we have an event for all the new Mentees in our group. I don't want anybody else in the event.

@Sid Sahasrabuddhe I thought about it, too. (as a workaround) It would work, but maybe confuses the mentees with the empty course. I like it lean ;-) I also miss the option to see the whole week (the old view of the calendar). It would be nice to have it back as an option. We have up to 4 Events a week and the days and time vary. Our Mentees look once a week at the calendar and pick the events they want to join. Not everybody joins every event. The new view on the events makes it more complex. Is it possible to bring the old view back? (as an option)
Change "Classroom" tab to "Courses"?
We think "Courses" is more intuitive. What do you think?

I like the word "Classroom". :-) @Sam Ovens A poll in the discussion would help to see the results 😅
Where did my "discussions" go?
I don't remember changing any settings but somehow I can't see discussions for any of my course modules... I thought for sure it was right here. 🤔

@Ted Carr Thanks for your input! I don't think this workaround is as good as the original feature. Telling people in the community what to do is much harder than just comment the hashtag with the video name under a great post in the community.

Hey @Sam Ovens, for us the discussion feature is like a FAQ 2.0. It is my favorite Skool feature! There are always member questions to some videos. It is so helpful, when members discuss these questions and come up with solutions, examples and so on. When new members join the group and watch the classroom videos, I don't want them to read through the whole community. (a lot of them are bad in using the search function) I want them to look below the video and find their answers - just on the right place. "People commenting things like "Nice job!" beneath a module clutters the main feed with out-of-context junky posts that lower the quality of the main community." -> I think this is a culture thing in the community. I don't have this going on in my community. We have a "value first" policy. I think a good admin can handle this by talking to the people, maybe deleting posts ... One possible solution could be, that only admins and moderators can link a post under a video. So there is a control authority to manage the feature. I already do this today, when people write great posts. They often don't know that they can link the post under a certain video, so I comment the hashtag to one (or sometimes more than one) video, where the post helps during the "classroom journey".
Badge for experienced users
I would love to give a badge to all the people who have finished my course. That would be awesome to highlight the "experienced guys". Is anything like that on the Skool roadmap? @Sam Ovens @Sid Sahasrabuddhe
