5 sales objections killing your closes (and how to fix them!)
If you’re getting a lot of β€œI need to think about it” after you pitch the price… it’s easy to assume the lead just isn’t serious, but most of the time, that’s not what’s happening 😬 They are interested. They do want results. They’re just not confident enough yet to say yes. And that’s what objections really are: a lack of clarity + a lack of confidence. The good news is you can prevent almost every objection before it ever shows up if you know what to listen for and what to ask earlier in the conversation. Here are the five most common sales objections, and the simple fix for each πŸ› οΈ 1) β€œIt’s too expensive.” This almost never means β€œI can’t afford it.” It usually means: β€œI don’t see why it’s worth it.” Don’t rush to defend your price. Instead, slow down and say, β€œBefore we talk numbers, I want to make sure you can clearly see what this helps you do and why it works.” Then connect your offer to their real life by asking "What does staying stuck cost them? Energy? Confidence? Stress? Health? Another year of starting over?" When the value is clear, the price feels fair. 2) β€œI need to ask my partner.” This isn’t a problem at the end of the consult. It’s a question you should’ve asked near the beginning. Try this question earlier in your convo, β€œDo you have support at home if you decide to do this?” and "Do they know you're here?" 3) β€œI don’t have time.” Translation: β€œI’m scared I won’t be able to keep up.” Before you present the offer, ask: β€œWhat’s a realistic amount of time you can commit to fitness each week?” Whatever they say, believe them. Build the plan around that. When your program fits their schedule, β€œtime” disappears as an objection. 4) β€œI’m not sure about 6 or 12 months.” This isn’t about time. It’s about uncertainty. If they can’t picture what those months look like, the commitment feels huge. Fix it by giving them a simple roadmap that gets them excited about their dream outcome. When they can see the path, they stop fearing the timeline. 5) β€œI don’t like working out.”

This is gold. Hearing this be reiterated over and over will never get old. Certainly helps to remind me not to get in my own way or let any preconceived notions dictate how that pitch goes. Thanks @Ann Svogun

@Ann Svogun never a bad idea!
Nice to meet Ya!
Good morning! My name is Susanna and I have been a teacher in middle school since 1997. Over a year ago I got my NASM CPT certification, and I am currently working on transitioning into full-time training and hopefully retirement from teaching. I have a passion for working with people who are brand new to working out. I don’t know where to begin as well as people who were. And have lost some of that due to pain or injuries But don’t want to give up on life. I am currently training in a small box gym as well as online. I would like to take my online business to $5000 dollars monthly in order to supplement my teaching retirement. Outside of training, I love to canoe, fish, and play musical instruments.
Nice to meet Ya!

Great to have you here Susanna, sounds like you being a lot to the table and you'll ha e the communication side of things locked down from being a teacher. The coaching game is all about effective communication so armed with that NASM and being here you're off to a great start. $5000k months should be a breeze. That milestone is gonna quickly increase for you!

@Ann Svogun every time I've watched his content I've always gained tons of value so I'm sure this will be no different. I will certainly think of any specific questions

I've got a client who has a few situations going on. Recently had a hockey injury where he broke his scapula, dislocated his shoulder and fractured a few ribs. He's been out of commission and is currently on vacation (thankfully) so he can rest a bit. But he's also gearing up for a hernia repair early March. He's gonna have a lot of rehab work needed for both it seems. Advice on how to navigate through this period with him would be fantastic
Hey πŸ‘‹πŸΌ
My name is Will Hastings. I mostly train in person and have started into the online portion recently. Apex Performance is my business and i've been a coach for over 10 years now. A big goal for my business this year would be to bump my income up to $15k per quarter consistently. Outside of work, I actually LOVE to play video games/watch anime and cook! I have found those outlets to help me with my creativity. looking forward to connecting to everyone! If you have any training questions focused on youth athletes, i’d be happy to give my knowledge 🀘🏼

Will great to have you here in this community. Super cool that you're dialed in with youth athletics!! I love that population, I've been able to work with several myself. I look forward to seeing how you swing the transition into the online world - I'm right with ya on this one, just trying to transition myself. This is the place to be though
Online training packages
Good morning. Would anyone mind sharing the type of online personal training packages that they offer? I’d love to see how mine compare. Currently i have designed mine based on how my box gym does. Either 4,8,12 or 16 sessions per month with a 4 month commitment. My thought originally was that each session would be a video training call. That works for some but others struggle with scheduling issues. What are some suggestions for including a training app with workouts as well as occasional video training sessions? I’m trying to brainstorm this to offer my clients the best options without having too many.

I think having a structure where it's 3 pre set durations ie 3/6/12 months and then 1-3 sessions really allows you to be really specific with prescription based on their goals and experience level. The number of months would be determined greatly by their goals and what's realistic for them to achieve it and then weekly frequency based on their experience/desired access to you - but also a leverage point if finances are an objection you can decrease frequency but emphasize that they'll be responsible for doing more work on their own via coaching app etc. The frequency of calls could be another parameter that you adjust to accomodate a price objection (ie once a month vs weekly). Lots of different ways to go about this! Good question though, been through this all myself.
