5 sales objections killing your closes (and how to fix them!)
If youโre getting a lot of โI need to think about itโ after you pitch the priceโฆ itโs easy to assume the lead just isnโt serious, but most of the time, thatโs not whatโs happening ๐ฌ They are interested. They do want results. Theyโre just not confident enough yet to say yes. And thatโs what objections really are: a lack of clarity + a lack of confidence. The good news is you can prevent almost every objection before it ever shows up if you know what to listen for and what to ask earlier in the conversation. Here are the five most common sales objections, and the simple fix for each ๐ ๏ธ 1) โItโs too expensive.โ This almost never means โI canโt afford it.โ It usually means: โI donโt see why itโs worth it.โ Donโt rush to defend your price. Instead, slow down and say, โBefore we talk numbers, I want to make sure you can clearly see what this helps you do and why it works.โ Then connect your offer to their real life by asking "What does staying stuck cost them? Energy? Confidence? Stress? Health? Another year of starting over?" When the value is clear, the price feels fair. 2) โI need to ask my partner.โ This isnโt a problem at the end of the consult. Itโs a question you shouldโve asked near the beginning. Try this question earlier in your convo, โDo you have support at home if you decide to do this?โ and "Do they know you're here?" 3) โI donโt have time.โ Translation: โIโm scared I wonโt be able to keep up.โ Before you present the offer, ask: โWhatโs a realistic amount of time you can commit to fitness each week?โ Whatever they say, believe them. Build the plan around that. When your program fits their schedule, โtimeโ disappears as an objection. 4) โIโm not sure about 6 or 12 months.โ This isnโt about time. Itโs about uncertainty. If they canโt picture what those months look like, the commitment feels huge. Fix it by giving them a simple roadmap that gets them excited about their dream outcome. When they can see the path, they stop fearing the timeline. 5) โI donโt like working out.โ
